Guanajuato leads Mexico in romance tourism with 1,385 weddings

Guanajuato has solidified its position as a national leader in romance tourism. During the IBTM Americas meeting, Secretary of Tourism and Identity María Guadalupe Robles León reported that the state concluded 2025 with 1,385 destination weddings.

San Miguel de Allende remains a primary driver of this sector, accounting for 990 of those weddings. According to the State of Guanajuato Tourism Observatory, approximately 3 million visitors arrive in the state annually in connection with wedding celebrations.
