Guangzhou Shipyard International wins US$1 billion order for ten LNG dual-fuel PCTCs

Guangzhou Shipyard International (GSI), a majority-owned subsidiary of China CSSC Holdings Limited, has secured a contract exceeding US$1 billion for the construction of ten LNG dual-fuel Pure Car and Truck Carriers (PCTCs). The agreement, signed alongside China Shipbuilding Trading Co., Ltd., was made with an international shipowner whose identity remains undisclosed.

The ten vessels will each have a capacity of 8,200 CEU. Deliveries are scheduled to take place between 2029 and 2031. This contract follows GSI’s recent success in the high-capacity Ro-Ro vessel market, including the delivery of the world’s first dual-fuel PCTC with a 10,800-vehicle capacity earlier this year.
