Overview
Major international shipbuilding orders have been secured for LNG dual-fuel vessels.
In August 2026, MacGregor secured a contract to provide cargo handling solutions for six 1,700 TEU dual-fuel LNG-powered containerships. These vessels are being constructed by Cochin Shipyard Limited in India for the carrier CMA CGM, with deliveries planned between 2029 and 2031.
In September 2026, Guangzhou Shipyard International secured a contract exceeding US$1 billion to construct ten LNG dual-fuel Pure Car and Truck Carriers (PCTCs) for an undisclosed international shipowner. These 8,200 CEU capacity vessels are also scheduled for delivery between 2029 and 2031.
