Guaratinguetá launches mobile women's health unit

The city of Guaratinguetá has launched a mobile women's health unit, known as the 'Carreta da Saúde da Mulher', in partnership with the Ministry of Health. The initiative will operate from August 21 until September 18, providing specialized services to women in Guaratinguetá and surrounding municipalities, including Cachoeira Paulista, Roseira, Cunha, Potim, Aparecida, and Canas.

The mobile unit aims to provide 1,520 monthly appointments and procedures. Services include gynecological consultations, pelvic ultrasounds, mammographies, colposcopies, and biopsies for investigating breast and cervical cancer. Appointments are being scheduled via existing municipal waiting lists, and no walk-in appointments are available at the site.
