In Catalonia, Mossos d’Esquadra are investigating a kidnapping in Calella, marking the fourth such case in the region this month. In Tarragona, a father and daughter were arrested for a real estate scam in Cambrils involving over 200,000 euros.
Other reported crimes involve targeted thefts and fraud, such as the ‘fake electrical inspector’ method used to rob an elderly woman in La Bañeza, and the theft of 5,000 kilograms of organic almonds in Cuenca. Additionally, authorities have addressed violent thefts, including a case in Benacazón where a suspect allegedly attacked a vehicle owner with a shovel, and a robbery in Sabadell where a man was detained while targeting truck cargo.
Routine enforcement actions also included the interception of an unlicensed driver in Cuenca, the investigation of falsified bullfighting documents in Albacete, and the arrest of a caregiver in Castellón for stealing jewelry from a vulnerable elderly couple.
