Guardia Civil rescues three hikers in Leza River Canyon

The Guardia Civil has rescued three hikers, including a pregnant woman, after they became lost in the Leza River Canyon near Soto en Cameros, La Rioja. The group, consisting of one man and two women of Spanish and Argentine nationality, reported being disoriented in the riverbed near Fuente del Restauro.

The rescue operation involved patrols from Murillo de Río Leza and Villamediana de Iregua, the GREIM mountain rescue group from Ezcaray, and a Guardia Civil helicopter based in Vitoria. The helicopter crew visually located the hikers at 19:10, and ground teams reached them shortly after. All three individuals were found in good physical condition and did not require medical assistance.
