Guardia Civil prepares for Virgen del Pilar celebrations in Spain
The Spanish Guardia Civil is preparing for its annual celebrations in honor of its patron saint, the Virgen del Pilar, scheduled for October 12. Various regional commands across Spain have organized official ceremonies, religious services, and military parades.
In Cuenca, officers have conducted rehearsals near the local Commandancy to finalize formations for the upcoming parade. In Guadalajara, the festivities will include a mass officiated by the Bishop of Sigüenza-Guadalajara, followed by a ceremony at the Adoratrices school featuring the raising of the Spanish flag, the awarding of decorations, and a military parade.
In Soria, the institutional acts will take place at Plaza Mariano Granados, presided over by Lieutenant Colonel Sergio Peñarroya Grande. The program includes a military parade, a solemn Eucharist at the El Salvador parish church, and a media exhibition in La Dehesa.
