Guardia di Finanza changes command at Bari Naval Station

Major Nicola Amoroso has taken command of the Guardia di Finanza Naval Station in Bari, succeeding Lieutenant Colonel Davide D'Aponte. D'Aponte concludes a three-year term of operational activity and will move to a new position at the Guardia di Finanza Naval Center in Formia.

Major Amoroso, a native of Margherita di Savoia, joins the Bari station from the Naples Naval Station. He joined the corps in 2008 and completed the 7th aeronaval course ‘Idra’ at the Guardia di Finanza Academy in Bergamo.

Brigadier General Armando Franza, Commander of the Puglia Aeronaval Department, presided over the handover, thanking D'Aponte for his service and offering well wishes to Amoroso. The Bari Naval Station is responsible for patrolling approximately 900 kilometers of coastline, monitoring economic and financial crimes across the Puglia region and the province of Matera.
