Guardia di Finanza commander appointments

Overview

In late July 2026 the Italian Guardia di Finanza announced a series of personnel changes across several regional units. On 22 July Lieutenant Giulia Consales took command of the Tempio Pausania company in Sardinia, Lieutenant Colonel Luca Pirrera assumed leadership of the Campobasso group in Molise, and Lieutenant Luigi Bianco became commander of the Foligno company in Umbria, each replacing officers moving to Economic‑Financial Police posts or training schools.

A week later, on 30 July, further appointments were reported in the north. Captain Raffaele de Martino succeeded Captain Massimiliano Carrieri in Sassuolo, while Captain Giuseppe De Rosa replaced Captain Daniele Di Deodato in Faenza. Both outgoing commanders were reassigned to Economic‑Financial Police units in Venice and Perugia respectively.

The reshuffling continued on 5 August when Captain Michele De Nicola was installed as commander of the Giulianova company in Abruzzo, succeeding Major Domenico Massimiliano Cerra, who transferred to the School of Inspectors and Superintendents in L’Aquila. De Nicola, a law graduate with a long service record, joins the ongoing rotation that places senior officers in new local commands while many move to broader Economic‑Financial Police roles.
