Guarujá athletes win 11 medals at Paresp regional qualifiers

Five adapted swimming athletes from Guarujá secured 11 medals during the regional qualifiers of the São Paulo State Paralympic Games (Paresp). The city's performance placed it fifth in the Baixada Santista region.

Cristian Cruz was the standout performer, earning four gold medals in the 50m freestyle, 100m freestyle, 50m butterfly, and 200m medley. Other medalists included Marcelo Nascimento, who won three silver medals, Jocinaide Oliveira with one silver and two bronzes, and Roberto dos Santos with one silver.

The athletes are students of the adapted swimming program at CAEC Márcia Regina. They are now preparing for the state finals scheduled for September 27 in São Paulo.
