Guarulhos Airport cargo theft involving R$ 2.5 million in video cards

A shipment of high-end video cards imported from the United States, valued at approximately R$ 2.5 million, was stolen from Guarulhos International Airport in Brazil. The cargo, weighing over 423 kilograms, consists of advanced components used for artificial intelligence processing and high-end gaming computers.

Civil Police are investigating three employees of a third-party company operating at the airport. Security footage reportedly shows irregular movement at the Cargo Terminal (Teca), where two forklift operators allegedly moved the pallet without a formal operational request. A third individual is suspected of releasing the goods in the system. The stolen items were subsequently discovered being advertised for sale on a website, with images showing the original airport release labels.

The theft occurred on September 21, though it was only officially reported to the Tourist Assistance Police (Deatur) on September 24. The Federal Police are expected to participate in the ongoing investigation.
