Guarulhos launches 150 free vocational courses for vulnerable residents

Guarulhos city, together with the Fundo Social de Solidariedade and the São Paulo state government, is offering 150 free vocational training slots. The program provides 45 places in a technology track that teaches game and app development, 45 places in automotive maintenance (basic maintenance by day and electric automotive at night), and 60 places for caregiver training for the elderly.

The courses target people in social vulnerability – unemployed individuals, beneficiaries of assistance programmes and women who are heads of families. They are part of the "Caminho da Capacitação" initiative, which integrates the state‑wide Superação SP program that aims to lift more than 100 000 families out of poverty. Classes run from 10 to 21 August, and registration is through the online form on the portal cursofussp.sp.gov.br.
