Belém neighborhoods face temporary water outage as Águas do Pará conducts maintenance

Águas do Pará will suspend water supply for about five hours on the night of June 22 into early June 23 in six Belém neighborhoods – São Brás, Fátima, Pedreira, Nazaré, Canudos and Marco – to carry out maintenance on the city’s distribution system. The interruption, scheduled to start at 22:00 and end around 03:00, is intended to improve system reliability and reduce future failures.

Separately, the concessionaire will run itinerant registration points in the Telégrafo and Batista Campos districts from June 22 to June 26. Residents can update personal data, negotiate outstanding debts and apply for the Tarifa Social, which offers a 50% discount on water bills for eligible households. Service is offered 08:30‑17:00 at designated streets and plazas, and updated customers will receive SMS/WhatsApp alerts about future maintenance or supply interruptions.
