Guatemala's TSE opens electoral propaganda period and branding contest

The Supreme Electoral Tribunal (TSE) has announced the commencement of the electoral propaganda period for the 2027 presidential and vice-presidential elections. According to the electoral calendar, political parties are authorized to campaign for these offices from October 27, 2026, through February 24, 2027.

In a separate initiative, the TSE is nearing the deadline for a public contest to design the official logo, slogan, and jingle for the 2027 General Elections. The call for entries, which runs from October 7 until November 7, is open to Guatemalan citizens aged 18 and older, both residents and those living abroad. The contest aims to foster civic participation and transparency by allowing citizens to contribute to the visual and auditory identity of the upcoming electoral process.
