Guayaquil experiences seven murders in 24 hours

Guayaquil has experienced a surge in violence, with seven people murdered in three separate incidents within a 24-hour period.

In the first attack, armed men entered two homes in the Gallegos Lara and La Florida sectors, forcibly removing and shooting two men aged 21 and 23. In a second incident near a school in Pascuales, a 19-year-old motorized tricycle driver was killed while transporting several children; the children were unharmed.

A third attack occurred in a suburb, where gunmen reportedly arrived by boat from the estuary to enter a residence. This assault resulted in the deaths of two men and two women, while two children inside the home survived.
