Guayaquil hosts cultural and innovation events
Guayaquil will host several cultural and educational initiatives on Saturday, September 5. The “Aquí lee Guayaquil” event will take place at Plaza Guayarte, offering a family-oriented experience focused on reading. Activities include a book exchange where participants can swap used books, live piano music, literary picnics on the grass, and various stands from bookstores and publishers. Visitors can use a special passport to collect stamps and participate in raffles.
Simultaneously, the third edition of the “Ruta de la Innovación 2026” will be held across various city locations, including the Biblioteca de las Artes, MZ14, and the Museo Antropológico y de Arte Contemporáneo (MAAC). Organized by the Escuela Superior Politécnica del Litoral (ESPOL) and the Universidad de las Artes (UArtes), this program features 36 activities spanning art, science, and technology. The schedule includes video mapping, dance performances, choral music, and workshops for children, aiming to bring artistic creation and knowledge closer to the general public.
