Guayaquil offers 1,960 scholarships for public university preparation

Guayaquil has launched a new call for 1,960 full scholarships designed to prepare young people for entrance exams at public universities. The program is a joint initiative between the Municipal Public Company for Social Action and Education (DASE EP) and the Tecnológico Universitario Espíritu Santo (TES).

Eligible applicants must be between 16 and 30 years old, reside in Guayaquil, and be high school graduates or currently in their third year of high school. The scholarship includes 180 hours of hybrid training, featuring virtual classes from Tuesday to Thursday and in-person sessions on Saturdays. The curriculum covers field-specific preparation along with English and Excel skills.

Applications are open until September 26, 2026, with academic activities scheduled to begin on October 25, 2026. Successful candidates will be required to sign an academic commitment letter and provide a sworn statement.
