Guayaquil recycling program offers workshops to transform waste into economic opportunities

The Ruta del Reciclaje program, led by Circular EP, is providing free workshops to residents of Guayaquil to promote the reuse of materials. These sessions aim to foster a culture of environmental responsibility and support the local economy by teaching participants how to transform waste into decorative and utilitarian items, such as earrings, paintings, and notebooks.

Recent workshops held at the CAMI on 29 and Oriente allowed dozens of homemakers to acquire new technical skills. Participants noted that the training provides opportunities to launch small home-based businesses, helping to supplement family resources through the principles of the circular economy.
