Guayaquil and Venezuela report multiple fatal and disruptive traffic accidents

Multiple traffic incidents have been reported in Ecuador and Venezuela.

In Guayaquil, Ecuador, a heavy vehicle overturned at an overpass connecting 25 de Julio and Pío Jaramillo avenues. The container detached from the truck, causing significant traffic congestion. Authorities located the driver, who had initially fled the scene, and placed him at the disposal of the law. Additionally, search operations continue in the Guayas and Daule rivers for Emilio Álvarez Espín, a 20-year-old motorcyclist who fell from the Unidad Nacional Bridge.

In Venezuela, a fatal accident occurred on the Caracas-La Guaira highway involving a motorcyclist, Ibrahim Gámez, who died at the scene; his passenger was hospitalized with serious injuries. Furthermore, a multi-motorcycle collision was reported in La Yaguara on the Gran Cacique Guaicaipuro Highway, resulting in several injuries and prompting local calls for stricter traffic regulations.
