Guayaquil to host higher education fair for high school graduates
High school graduates in Ecuador face significant challenges when choosing higher education paths, balancing personal vocation against concerns regarding costs, admission processes, and job market opportunities. Data from the 2024 National Survey of Employment, Unemployment, and Underemployment indicates a strong correlation between education levels and income quintiles. While those with only a high school diploma typically fall into the second and third income quintiles, individuals with university degrees and postgraduate studies are more frequently found in the fourth and fifth quintiles.
To assist students in navigating these decisions, the initiative ‘Todos Juntos por la Educación’ will hold a free event in Guayaquil on October 14 and 15 at Plaza Viva Guayarte. The event will bring together universities, institutes, and higher education organizations to provide families and future students with academic alternatives and analytical tools for informed decision-making.
