Guerreros de Oaxaca and Diablos Rojos tie playoff series

The Mexican League playoff series between Guerreros de Oaxaca and Diablos Rojos del México is currently tied at 2-2 following two contrasting games at Estadio YU’VA.

In the third game of the series, Diablos Rojos took a 2-1 series lead with a 3-1 victory. The match was defined by a pitching duel between William Cuevas and Trevor Bauer. Diablos gained an early lead through Julián Ornelas and a solo home run by Franklin Barreto. Although Mel Rojas Jr. hit a solo home run for Oaxaca in the seventh inning to narrow the gap, the Diablos bullpen secured the win.

However, the Guerreros responded in Game 4 with a dominant 12-3 victory to even the series. Oaxaca capitalized on a pitching collapse by the Diablos in the second inning, highlighted by a seven-run rally that included a grand slam by Juan Santana. Following a four-run fifth inning driven by Jorge Flores, Luis Barrera, and Alexi Amarista, Oaxaca established an insurmountable lead. Radhames Liz earned the win, while Humberto Castellanos took the loss.
