Guilherme Boulos mourns uncle killed in São Paulo traffic incident

Guilherme Boulos, Chief of Staff of the Presidency, is mourning the death of his uncle, 80-year-old dentist Carlos Boulos. The elder Boulos died on Tuesday morning at Hospital das Clínicas after being struck by a vehicle in São Paulo.

The incident occurred on Saturday night on Avenida 23 de Maio following a traffic dispute. According to police reports, Carlos Boulos stopped his Hyundai Hilux to confront another driver who had rear-ended him. After he exited his vehicle, the other driver allegedly drove into him and fled the scene without providing assistance.

Civil Police have identified the suspect as 61-year-old electronics technician Amilton Jusselino Rodrigues. He has been indicted for qualified intentional homicide due to a futile motive. Although the suspect initially fled, he later surrendered to authorities and was released pending legal proceedings.
