Guinea government officials meet media to promote transparency

Spokespersons for the Presidency and the Government of Guinea met with local and international media on August 19, 2026, to establish a new framework for institutional communication based on transparency and regular information sharing.

During the meeting, General Amara Camara, Minister Secretary General of the Presidency, introduced the various spokespersons, including Thierno Mamadou Bah and Moussa Moïse Sylla. The officials emphasized a commitment to making public information more accessible and improving the relationship between state institutions and the press.

In a related development regarding administrative transparency, Moussa Moïse Sylla confirmed that the Prime Minister issued an instruction on August 17 requiring all ministries to submit copies of every contract signed since September 2021. Ministers have been given 48 hours to provide these documents. This centralization effort aims to improve the traceability of state commitments and aligns with ongoing efforts to digitalize administrative procedures and modernize public management.
