Guinea: New leadership takes office at Advertising Office

Mohamed Bangoura has been installed as the new Director General of the Guinean Advertising Office (OGP), alongside Deputy Director General Alia Camara. The leadership transition follows a period of social crisis and allegations of poor governance within the institution.

During the installation ceremony on October 20, 2026, Bangoura outlined a three-point roadmap for the agency: mobilizing staff, restoring partner confidence, and increasing revenue. He emphasized the need for professional discipline and a shift toward becoming a credible partner within the evolving economic landscape, specifically mentioning the Simandou 2040 program.

Acting Minister of Communication, Digital Economy, and Innovation, Souleymane Thianguel Bah, addressed the new directors, noting that the OGP has previously faced management difficulties. He stressed that the new administration must deliver measurable results, improve revenue mobilization, and ensure transparency to restore the institution's reputation.
