Guinea technical and vocational exams record 77.5% national pass rate

Guinea's Ministry of Technical Education, Vocational Training and Employment released the results of the 2026 exit examinations on July 16. A total of 27,179 candidates participated, with women accounting for the majority (17,930 females, 9,249 males). The overall national success rate was 77.55%, meaning 21,078 candidates were admitted, including 13,927 women and 7,151 men.

Performance varied by programme. The BTS in Franco‑Arabic teaching achieved a perfect 100% pass rate for its 16 candidates. High results were also recorded in the CAP Agricultural Operator (94.69%), CAP Community Health Technique (90.80%) and BT Early Childhood Education (89.34%). In the most populated streams, the BTS recorded an 84.17% success rate (3,206 of 3,809). The lowest outcomes were seen in the BEP (60.75%) and the CAP Community Health Care (44.44%), which may prompt targeted improvements.

The ministry highlighted the results as evidence of progress in technical and vocational education, a sector deemed critical for aligning training with employment and reducing youth unemployment in Guinea.
