Pikine-Guédiawaye court sentences four Senegalese influencers to prison

The Pikine-Guédiawaye court has sentenced four prominent Senegalese TikTok influencers to prison terms following charges including criminal association, insults, and death threats.

Rokhaya Fall, known as ‘Rox la Chancelière’, received a sentence of two years, including six months of firm imprisonment, and was ordered to pay 2 million CFA francs in damages to Adji Mass Gaye. Khadidiatou Kébé, known as ‘Jessica’, was sentenced to two years, including six months firm. Nafissatou Fall, known as ‘Narou Karma’, received two years with three months firm, while Ramatoulaye Diallo, known as ‘Ramz Yago’, received two years with one month firm.

The court rejected various defense arguments regarding procedural nullity and statutes of limitations. While some charges related to insults were dismissed following the withdrawal of complaints by certain parties, the defendants were found guilty of other offenses, including criminal association and speech contrary to public morals.
