Gujarat authorities seize cocaine and unlicensed cosmetics in Ahmedabad raids

Authorities in Gujarat have conducted separate enforcement operations targeting illegal manufacturing and drug trafficking.

The Food and Drug Control Administration (FDCA) raided ‘Anki Herbal’ in the Tragad area of Ahmedabad, seizing cosmetic materials and products valued at over 2.68 lakh rupees. Officials discovered the firm was manufacturing and repackaging items such as fairness creams, shampoos, and soaps without required licenses or quality testing. The investigation has extended to ‘Ravi Marketing’ in the Odhav area, which allegedly supplied the bulk materials.

In a separate incident, the Ahmedabad city police arrested a 22-year-old man from Rajasthan in the Naroda area. Officers seized 234.01 grams of cocaine with an estimated value of 1.17 crore rupees. The suspect, identified as Naresh Sain, was apprehended following a tip-off. Police are currently investigating two other individuals allegedly involved in the procurement and supply of the narcotics.
