Gujarat Police seize illegal liquor worth ₹77.71 lakh in Jamnagar

The Gujarat State Monitoring Cell, acting under the direction of Director General of Police G.S. Malik, conducted a raid in Jamnagar district on 29 July. Police Inspector P.P. Brahmbhatt led officers to a field in Sanoshi village of Lalpur police‑station jurisdiction, where they confiscated approximately 500 cartons of Indian Made Foreign Liquor (IMFL) and beer – about 5,978 bottles – valued at ₹77,71,400. Adding other seized items, the total worth of the haul exceeds ₹1 crore.

Three individuals were arrested and 13 others linked to the liquor‑supply network were declared wanted. The raid follows an earlier seizure in Kutch earlier this month, where the same cell seized IMFL and beer worth more than ₹48 lakh.
