Gumi City provides free vehicle inspections for Chuseok holiday

Gumi City is conducting free vehicle inspections and traffic safety campaigns to assist citizens with safe travel during the upcoming Chuseok holiday. The event is scheduled for the 19th, running from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM at the Nakdonggang Sports Park and Dongrak Park.

Organized by the Gumi branch of the Korea Automobile Professional Repair Business Association (Carpos) with support from the city, the service targets passenger vehicles and vans of 15 seats or fewer, as well as vehicles under 1 ton. Approximately 140 professional mechanics are participating through talent donation to inspect critical safety components, including braking systems, engine status, lights, tire pressure, and wipers.

In addition to safety checks, mechanics will replenish consumables such as washer fluid and engine oil. Local volunteer groups will also assist with traffic control and guidance to ensure the event proceeds smoothly.
