Gunfight between rival gangs rattles Santa Clara del Cobre, Michoacán

In the early hours of Thursday, two rival criminal groups exchanged fire in Santa Clara del Cobre, a town in Michoacán. The shoot‑out lasted several minutes, with hundreds of shots fired and multiple vehicles riddled with bullet impacts.

State security officials said the Guard and the Mexican Army were dispatched to the nearby El Chicharrón area.
