Gunpo small manufacturers receive presidential and ministerial awards

Two small manufacturing companies from Gunpo City were honored at the ‘2026 Korea Small Business Convention’ held at BEXCO in Busan. The event was hosted by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups and organized by the Small Enterprise and Market Service.

Jun-haeng Lee, CEO of Kumho Hi-Tech, received the Presidential Commendation for his contributions to strengthening manufacturing competitiveness through smart manufacturing innovation, promoting collaboration among small manufacturers, and improving the operations of the Gunpo Small Manufacturer Specialized Support Center.

Won-min Lee, CEO of S&C Engineering, was awarded the Minister of SMEs and Startups Commendation. He was recognized for driving smart manufacturing innovation through precision machining technology and contributing to the localization of components using patented technologies.

Gunpo City and the Gunpo Industry Promotion Agency have provided ongoing field-oriented support for local manufacturers, including quality improvement, customized consulting, and smart manufacturing assistance. Mayor Dae-hee Han stated that the city will continue to strengthen customized support to enhance the competitiveness of local manufacturing enterprises.
