Guyana Football Federation advances coaching and youth development

The Guyana Football Federation (GFF) is advancing its national development initiatives through both coaching education and youth competition. Eight coaches recently earned their CONCACAF C Licenses following a successful course, a move GFF President Wayne Forde described as a priority for professionalizing the sport and influencing young people positively.

Simultaneously, the GFF’s Youth Ensemble Programme, conducted in collaboration with FIFA, is reaching its conclusion. This initiative represents a significant investment of GYD$44 million annually over the next four years. The programme has engaged over 2,000 players from 123 clubs across nine regional associations, providing structured competition for Under-13, Under-15, and Under-17 categories to strengthen the domestic football pathway.
