New South Wales road accidents result in multiple fatalities and injuries
A series of serious vehicle accidents across New South Wales has resulted in multiple fatalities and injuries.
In Guyra, a 75-year-old man died following a collision between a Toyota Hilux and a Subaru Impreza. A 30-year-old man and a five-year-old girl were also injured in the crash and were treated in serious but stable condition.
On the Newell Highway, a man in his 60s died after a truck and a motorbike collided near Wirrinya. In a separate incident on the same highway near Alectown, a car towing a caravan rolled, resulting in minor injuries to an elderly man and woman.
Near Glen Innes, a NSW TrainLink coach left the New England Highway and caught fire. A female passenger was airlifted to the hospital with a suspected broken femur, while the 69-year-old driver and several other passengers were also treated for injuries.
Additionally, on the Bruce Highway near Caloundra, a truck driver was airlifted to the hospital after being trapped in a cabin following a rear-end collision involving a crane truck.
