Fatal accidents in New South Wales

Overview

New South Wales has experienced a series of fatal accidents involving both water and road transport.

In late September, coastal incidents resulted in three deaths, including a man in his 50s at Cabarita Beach and a man in his 20s at Saltwater Beach. A separate vehicle crash near Booral involving a horse float and motorcycles also caused one fatality and one critical injury.

Following these events, several serious road accidents occurred across the state. Fatalities were reported in Guyra following a collision between a Toyota Hilux and a Subaru Impreza, and near Wirrinya where a truck and motorbike collided. Other incidents included a car towing a caravan rolling on the Newell Highway and a NSW TrainLink coach catching fire near Glen Innes, which resulted in injuries to the driver and passengers.
