Gwalior: Kanwar pilgrims attacked following vehicle collision

In Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh, a group of Kanwar pilgrims was attacked following a minor vehicle collision. The incident occurred on a Thursday night in the Ghas Mandi area of the Bahodapur police station jurisdiction. According to police, after a car collided with the vehicle carrying the pilgrims, an argument ensued, leading the car occupants to attack the pilgrims with sticks, iron rods, and a hammer.

Two pilgrims, identified as Vivek Yadav and Shubham Yadav, sustained serious injuries. Vivek Yadav received a severe head injury from a hammer strike. Following the incident, members of the Bajrang Dal and other supporters staged protests, briefly blocking roads to demand swift action against the perpetrators.

Authorities have detained three individuals in connection with the assault. Police are currently reviewing CCTV footage and other evidence to identify and arrest the remaining suspects involved in the attack.
