GWM launches Haval H7 SUV with hybrid and PHEV options
Great Wall Motor (GWM) has introduced the Haval H7, a new-generation SUV designed to compete in the hybrid and plug-in hybrid (PHEV) markets. The vehicle features a boxier, more rugged design compared to previous models, measuring approximately 4.80 meters in length and 1.90 meters in width.
In Australia, dealer pricing indicates a promotional starting price of $45,990 drive-away for the Lux HEV model, positioning it to compete directly with entry-level models like the Toyota RAV4. The H7 will be available in two grades, Lux and Vanta, both featuring standard all-wheel drive. While the initial launch focuses on five-seat configurations, GWM has confirmed that seven-seat versions are expected to join the lineup in 2027.
Standard features for the Lux trim include 19-inch alloy wheels, a 15.6-inch touchscreen, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, a head-up display, and automatic parking assist. The PHEV variant will carry a premium of approximately $4,000 over the hybrid model.
