GWM launches new Haval H7 SUV in Spain and South Africa

Great Wall Motor (GWM) has expanded its vehicle lineup with the launch of the new Haval H7, a family SUV designed with off-road capabilities. The model is being introduced in both the Spanish and South African markets.

In South Africa, the H7 is available in six derivatives across three powertrain options: a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine, a 1.5-litre hybrid, and a 1.5-litre plug-in hybrid (PHEV). The flagship Hi4 PHEV model produces 280kW and 670Nm, offering an electric range of up to 130km depending on the configuration. These models also feature vehicle-to-load (V2L) technology, allowing the battery to power external devices.

In Spain, the vehicle enters the D-SUV segment, competing with models such as the Nissan X-Trail and KGM Torres. The H7 features a rugged, boxy design with a length of 4.80 metres and a wheelbase of 2.74 metres. While designed for versatility and off-road use, the European version is specified as a five-seater.
