GWM Ora 5 expands electric SUV presence in global markets

Great Wall Motor (GWM) is expanding its electric vehicle presence with the Ora 5 SUV, a model seeing varied market entries and adjustments. In Brazil, the Ora 5 has experienced a price increase of R$ 4,000, bringing its price to at least R$ 163,990. The vehicle is positioned as a more powerful option compared to the Ora 03, featuring 204 hp and a 58.3 kWh battery.

In Chile, the Ora 5 has debuted with a retro-futuristic design, offering a range of up to 435 km under the WLTP cycle and 201 hp. It includes features such as Vehicle to Load (V2L) technology, which allows the car to power external devices, and a 14.6-inch multimedia screen.

In the European market, the Ora 5 is competing directly with other Chinese electric SUVs like the Omoda 5 EV. While the Omoda 5 offers 204 CV and a 430 km range, the Ora 5 maintains a similar competitive profile in terms of dimensions and technological integration.
