GWM unveils larger Tank 300 SUV with new plug‑in hybrid system

Great Wall Motors (GWM) has launched the 2027 Tank 300 SUV, expanding its size by 126 mm in length, 54 mm in width, 24 mm in height and extending the wheelbase by 260 mm. The front now bears the full "TANK" lettering and a roof‑mounted LiDAR sensor has been added.

Inside, the vehicle features a new 15.6‑inch touchscreen, Nappa‑leather seats and the Coffee OS 3 system with more than 4,000 off‑road navigation maps. The suspension has been revised, replacing the rear torsion‑beam with a multilink setup.

Power comes from the Hi4‑Z plug‑in hybrid system, pairing a 2.0‑liter turbo gasoline engine with a 60 kWh battery, delivering up to 200 km of electric‑only range and a combined output of about 760 hp. Prices start at 259,000 yuan (around R$196,000) for the Chinese pre‑sale; the current Brazilian version is priced at R$342,000. Diesel‑hybrid variants are expected later.
