Gyeonggi Province pursues 5th consecutive title at 107th National Sports Festival

Gyeonggi Province is currently ranked third in the medal standings at the 107th National Sports Festival, trailing behind Gyeongbuk and Seoul. As of the evening of the 17th, Gyeonggi has secured 47 gold, 39 silver, and 36 bronze medals, totaling 122 medals.

Notable individual performances include roller skater Lee Seong-jun of Anyang Dongan High School, who achieved two gold medals in the men's under-18 category, winning both the 10,000m and the 5,000m point race. Other gold medalists for the province include Lee Hyo-beom in archery, Oh So-bin in finswimming, and Kim Jae-min in shooting.

In combat and team sports, victories were recorded in Ssireum, wrestling, taekwondo, and fencing. Additionally, Seongil High School won the men's under-18 hockey final, and weightlifter Lee Seong-won of Goyang City Hall secured two gold medals in the men's general division.
