Gyeongsan beauty companies secure $805,000 in Malaysian export contracts

Six beauty companies from Gyeongsan, South Korea, secured $805,000 in export contracts during their first participation in the Beautyexpo & Cosmobeauté Malaysia held in Kuala Lumpur from September 29 to October 1.

In addition to the finalized contracts, the participating companies conducted export consultations totaling approximately $3.2 million. The initiative aimed to leverage Malaysia's growing beauty market and high interest in K-beauty products as a gateway to Southeast Asia.

Gyeongsan City Mayor Cho Hyeon-il stated that the city will strengthen its support systems, including overseas exhibition participation and buyer matching, to help local beauty enterprises establish a stable presence in global markets. The city, in collaboration with Gyeongsangbuk-do, continues to operate an integrated support system covering R&D, manufacturing, certification, and export expansion.
