Ha Tinh health officials warn of dengue fever outbreak

Health authorities in Ha Tinh province are managing several public health concerns, most notably a rising risk of a dengue fever outbreak. The province has recorded 221 cases, including 180 local infections, with a new cluster of eight cases recently identified in Ky Hoa commune.

In administrative news, Nguyen The Phiet, formerly the Director of Thach Ha Medical Center, has been appointed as the new Director of the Ha Tinh Traditional Medicine Hospital by Provincial Chairman Phan Thien Dinh. Additionally, the provincial council is reviewing candidates for the “Exemplary Physician” title.

Medical experts in the region are also issuing public health advisories, emphasizing that no form of tobacco is safe for smokers or those exposed to secondhand smoke, and providing guidance on managing glaucoma.
