Ha Tinh targets development as a major maritime hub

Ha Tinh province is pursuing a strategic goal to become a leading maritime hub in the North Central region of Vietnam. The province's development plan focuses on seven key pillars: modern marine governance, an efficient marine economy, advanced marine science and technology, sustainable marine environmental protection, a rich marine culture, prosperous coastal residents, and robust maritime security.

Central to this strategy is the Vung Ang Economic Zone, which serves as a primary driver for the province's marine economy. Specific targets for 2030 include increasing the proportion of marine aquaculture in total fishery production to 15% and achieving an annual growth rate of 8% in marine aquaculture value. The province also aims to prioritize high-tech marine industries, green logistics, and renewable energy sources such as wind, solar, and LNG.
