Ha Tinh maritime and economic development
Overview
Ha Tinh province has established a strategic plan to transform into a major maritime hub in Vietnam’s North Central region. This development strategy focuses on seven pillars, including modern marine governance, a high-tech marine economy, and sustainable environmental protection. A central component of this vision is the Vung Ang Economic Zone, which is intended to drive growth through marine aquaculture, green logistics, and renewable energy.
To facilitate this expansion, the Ha Tinh Provincial People’s Committee approved a 321 billion VND resettlement project in Song Tri Ward. Scheduled for implementation between 2026 and 2027, the project aims to provide land clearance for industrial, logistics, and seaport developments within the Vung Ang Economic Zone. The investment includes approximately 93.26 billion VND for compensation and support, alongside 227.719 billion VND for constructing technical and social infrastructure such as transportation, electricity, and water systems.
