Ha Tinh to invest 3.4 trillion VND in National Highway 1 expansion
The Ministry of Construction has approved the investment policy for expanding 45.16 km of National Highway 1 through Ha Tinh province. The project involves upgrading two specific sections from two lanes to four lanes: the Thach Ha – Cam Binh section (16.33 km) and the Ky Van – Vung Ang section (28.83 km).
The total estimated investment is 3,428.25 billion VND, with approximately 3,154 billion VND allocated from the state budget under the 2026–2030 medium-term public investment plan. The project is managed by the Vietnam Road Administration and is scheduled to begin construction in 2027. Completion is expected by 2029, with the highway becoming operational in 2030.
The expansion aims to improve traffic capacity, address existing infrastructure limitations, and meet increasing transportation demands in the region.
