Ha Tinh transportation infrastructure development
Overview
Ha Tinh province is pursuing several initiatives to improve its transportation network. The Ministry of Construction has approved an investment policy to expand 45.16 km of National Highway 1 within the province. This project, estimated at 3,428.25 billion VND, involves upgrading two sections from two lanes to four lanes. Construction is scheduled to begin in 2027, with an expected completion date in 2029.
In addition to highway expansion, local authorities have identified a funding gap for general road maintenance. The Ha Tinh Department of Construction requested an additional 177 billion VND from the central budget to support infrastructure management in 2027. This request follows a projected deficit between the province’s required 421 billion VND for maintenance and the Ministry of Construction’s projected allocation of approximately 243.574 billion VND. Officials noted that these funds are necessary to address road damage caused by extreme weather, such as storms and floods.
