Haag Wonen begins school transformation into social housing

Haag Wonen has commenced the transformation of a former school building on Boylestraat in the Valkenboskwartier into 24 social rental homes. The project aims to preserve the building's characteristic facade while adding an extra residential floor and removing existing floors to increase density.

Half of the new units are designated for youth transitioning from social shelters or protected living environments into independent housing. These residents will receive support from the care institution JIT. The development, designed by Architekten Kombinatie, includes a communal green garden and bicycle storage in the rear yard.
