Habitat for Humanity leads wildfire rebuilding effort in Pacific Palisades

Habitat for Humanity Los Angeles is conducting a four-day community build to assist families affected by the January 2025 wildfires in the Pacific Palisades and Malibu neighborhoods. The initiative aims to support survivors facing financial shortfalls in rebuilding their homes.

More than 500 volunteers, including celebrities, construction professionals, and corporate partners, are participating in the effort. Notable attendees include actor Joshua Jackson, actress Bellamy Young, television host Melissa Rivers, actress Betzaida Landin, and boxer Sugar Ray Leonard. Representatives from major entertainment companies such as Paramount, Universal Pictures, and Warner Bros. Discovery are also involved.

The project includes framing new homes, completing final touches on existing structures, performing repairs on smoke-damaged properties, and revitalizing community spaces. The 2025 wildfires previously destroyed nearly 7,000 structures and displaced thousands of households in the Los Angeles area.
