Hagai Lober launches new Israeli party demanding broad coalition government

Hagai Lober, the bereaved father of Alisha Yehonatan Lober, announced his intention to run in the next Knesset election and to create a new political party. In a lengthy social‑media post he called for a "government of cooperation" that would bring together the two largest parties from both political blocs, rejecting the current pattern of narrow, “half‑the‑people” coalitions.

Lober said his party would not join any coalition that does not include both major parties, and he outlined several policy priorities he believes narrow governments have failed to address: a balanced separation of powers, an effective draft law, the formation of a commission to investigate the October 7 disaster, critical security appointments, war management, and the rebuilding of border‑area communities. He framed his move as a response to what he described as a persistent national crisis of trust and division.
