Hagen Fire evacuation levels reduced in Umatilla and Union Counties

Firefighting operations have successfully held the Hagen Fire within established containment lines, leading officials to reduce evacuation levels in parts of Umatilla County, Union County, and the Confederated Tribes of the Umatilla Indian Reservation.

In Umatilla County and the Confederated Tribes of the Umatilla Indian Reservation, certain zones have been reduced from Level 3 to Level 2 (Be Set). Other areas within Umatilla County have been reduced from Level 2 to Level 1 (Be Ready).

Authorities warn that conditions can change rapidly due to fire activity or the need to provide crews safe working space. Travelers are advised to avoid unnecessary travel in the area and to watch for heavy equipment and fire crews on highways. Forest Service road closures remain in effect.
